NFL Most Wanted Update: Owen Schmitt
It became aware to us here at The Fantasy Exchange on Thursday that Seahawks Fullback, Owen Schmitt, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence earlier in the week.
Schmitt, 24, was pulled over by police around midnight for speeding. He was then arrested after his BAC was measured at .151 and .161, according to State Patrol records. The legal limit in Washington is .08.
Here’s (John Jacob Jingle-Heimer-)Schmitt’s words;
“I sincerely apologize to the team, the NFL, the fans and my family and friends for my actions and my poor judgment,” Schmitt said. “I fully understand the seriousness of this matter, and I am disappointed in myself. I am committed to earning back the trust of everyone affected.”
The Seahawks and head coach Jim Mora are counting on Schmitt to start at fullback for them in place of Leonard Weaver who’s now playing in Philly. It’s very doubtful that Scmitt will miss much time for this since he’s a first time offender in the NFL but it certainly doesn’t bode well for his status with the franchise since he’s VERY expendable.
This of course is the first update in a while for the “NFL Most Wanted”, so here’s the link to a pretty tight competition…. LINKAGE
